Quick Sale Tips and Checklist

The first thing buyers notice is the general cleanliness and condition of the home. Here are some tips to help indicate to the buyer that you have taken good care of the house.

Front of the house

  • A fresh coat of paint does wonders.
  • Pay particular attention to the front door. This is the gateway to
    your home, the first impression that might make a big difference.
  • Keep steps and railings in good repair.
  • Mow the lawn, trim hedges and omit any clutter.
  • Clean any clutter out of the garage.
  • Make a positive impression with clean windows.
  • Repair any plumbing leaks.

Rooms and Halls

  • Remove unneeded items & excess furniture to "enlarge" room size.
  • Oil any squeaking hinges, fix loose door knobs.
  • In the Kitchen, ensure that the range, refrigerator, and sink are clean and that the counters are clear.
  • Freshen the bathroom and re-caulk tub if needed.
